Goed nieuws vanuit Den Haag! De Nederlandse overheid zegt onderzoek, pilots en geschikte regelgeving voor offshore solar te willen faciliteren.

In de kamerbrief Routekaart Zon op Water van minister Van ’t Wout wordt uitgebreid gesproken over de technologische ontwikkeling van offshore solar en de voordelen van het combineren van offshore solar met offshore wind. Er wordt – terecht! – gerefereerd naar de projecten van Oceans of Energy als succesvolle pilots. Over de route naar Zon op Zee zegt de minister ontwikkeling en innovatie te willen stimuleren en mogelijke belemmeringen weg te willen nemen, zodat offshore solar in de toekomst als optie beschikbaar is. 

We zijn enorm blij om te zien dat de Nederlandse overheid een beleid begint in te zetten voor Zon op Zee. Wij zijn er klaar voor en al bezig met de uitbreiding van de pilots op zee!

Good news from the Hague! The Dutch government plans to facilitate research, pilots and regulations for offshore solar.

In the letter to parliament Routekaart Zon op Water (roadmap Solar on Water) by Minister Van ‘t Wout, the technological development of offshore solar is discussed elaborately, as well as the advantages of combining offshore solar and offshore wind. They – rightfully! – refer to the projects of Oceans of Energy as successful pilots. Regarding the road to implementation of offshore solar, the minister plans to stimulate development and innovation, and remove potential barriers, in order to have offshore solar as option available in the future.

We are very happy to see that the Dutch government is starting to employ policies for offshore solar. We are ready, and we are already expanding our pilots!
