Three Places, One Mission: Clean & Affordable Energy in Harmony with Nature

Our Oceans of Energy team was on the move – to represent and showcase our offshore solar projects and services.

OMC-MED – Ravenna, Italy

A big congratulations to Aurelio Negri and Johnny Meit, who brought home the First Prize for Best Paper at the #OMCMedEnergy Conference and Exhibition. The paper “Hybrid Offshore Solar & Wind Parks in the Mediterranean” shows that offshore solar is key to unlocking the full potential of offshore wind farms in the Mediterranean—enabling huge cost-sharings for power export infrastructure and site development, paving the way for faster, smarter renewable rollouts (download coming soon!).

WindEurope2025 – Copenhagen, Denmark

At #WindEurope2025, Allard van Hoeken, Johnny Meit, Lotte Holvast and Hein Heyster manned the Oceans of Energy booth in the #DutchPavilion of partners NedZero – Wind Energy Association and wind & water works, meeting up with many familiar ánd new faces! Our poster “Save billions on offshore wind energy infrastructure by adding Offshore Solar” made it to the final nominations – a strong nod to our game-changing approach to hybrid offshore energy systems.

BAMBOO Project Workshop – Brussels, Belgium

Our environmental experts, Melina Nalmpanti and Brigitte Marie-Anne Vlaswinkel, PhD joined a two-day workshop hosted by the European Marine Board IVZW, exploring the environmental and social dimensions of #largescale offshore solar, together with experts from 10 EU countries! This work is part of the BAMBOO Project and will contribute to an EU policy brief with recommendations for sustainable offshore solar development across Europe.

From Denmark, to Italy, to Belgium –  Oceans of Energy is proud to lead the way in building a new energy system at sea — one that is clean, cost-effective, and co-existing with nature.

We don’t just envision the future of offshore energy — we build it!
